Our Mission
Our mission is to drive social change within our refugee
community by connecting with fellow refugees and
orphans, listening to their stories, and teaching them Yoga
and Art. Through these activities, we aim to offer the
support they need to heal from trauma and empower them
to live a dignified and fulfilling lives
Our Vision

Nakujali Foundation envisions a world where refugees and orphans live with dignity, opportunity, and hope just like any other members of society. We are committed to creating a community where trauma is healed, resilience is nurtured, and every individual has access to the resources needed to thrive.
Our vision extends beyond healing; we aim to empower refugee women with sustainable skills, enabling them to support their families, achieve financial independence, and build brighter futures. By fostering self reliance and social inclusion, we strive to transform lives and create lasting change within refugee communities.

Turning Waste: Healing and Empowering Center
We are building the Healing and Empowering Center using ECO - brick ( plastic battles ) to build a center,

What is the HEC?

The HEC is not a traditional charity center. It is a Living Knowledge Platform a first of its kind model that integrates three vital streams into one sustainable home:
-
Ecological Innovation: A center built from the earth and for the earth, powered by a community-governed solar microgrid.
-
Mental Well-being: A dedicated space for trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and art therapy to foster deep, internal healing.
-
Vocational Empowerment: A hub for skill-building, from digital media production to leadership training for women and youth.

The 170,000+ residents of Nakivale are not waiting to return home; they are building a home. The HEC exists to provide the "scaffolding of civic life" that a permanent city requires libraries, energy grids, and spaces for collective growth.
We don’t just build centers; we build the capacity for a community to thrive on its own terms.
